Panda AV Internet Security
This is the best antivirus I have ever used! I bought my first computer when I was 12 and with it came Panda Titanium, ever since then, I have used Panda AV Internet Security.
More recently I bought the Internet Security edition. To notice the difference is an understatement! This is even better than any of the other panda av products at present.

Internet security offers Antivirus, Firewall, spyware, dialler, spam and web content protection that is very configurable, but so easy to use. You can just install and literally forget about it. I have a Athlon 2000XP with 512MB and WinXP Pro. I have never had my system slow down or had system resources consumed by panda. It has a really fast scan time, which takes just 5.34 mins to scan my 120GB HD.

If you love your PC and dont want people to take control, then Panda Antivirus Internet Security is for you!

good but you need to download the latest updated version....
been running this for two weeks now and its had its ups and downs, the installation went to plan on a amd pc running windows xp,if your like me you alway get sick of seeing pentium specs on all things these days.

last week my online updates seemed to stop updating itself so i looked in to it and after 3 emails to panda without replys, (hence only giving this 3 stars) i found the software was out of date and a newer version was on the website to download.. since the update .. fingers crossed everything is running a treat. even the spam program as a easyer way to add the email to the spam file as the old one add a link on every email that asked you if it was spam or not. with the spam software you have to teach it to know what is spam and what is not spam, after 2 weeks of adding spam links to the program (beleave me hundreds a week) it is only missing 2 or 3 emails. i must say if you buy this program please update the software asap on the panda site once registered online as it will save you many a problems i found. with the netsky b worm virus and spyware it is detecting nearly every day i would strongly recommend this software if you are silly not have firewall or virus program running this month. another item this as is password protection from other users, so you can restrict what other members of the household can veiw on the internet. anyway this is really growing on me and is one of the best internet security programs on the market today so get it or regreat it.....CHEERS PANDA

A viable alternative to NAV
After the purchase of a new PC (P4 3.06Gb, 1Gb RAM, Win XP) I was in the market for a new antvirus program. I was initially going back to Norton whose product I had been using on my old Win 98 machine. However, I found numerous dubious reviews on the web regarding system problems with XP (though to be fair just about every other AV suite had similar or other worrying reports from some individuals). Anyway, it prompted me to look at other, comparable products. It all seemed a bit of a gamble to be honest. Anyway, in the end I opted for Panda due to a couple of favourable reviews, and this package, which handily replaced my freebie firewall as well as offering anti spam and spyware protection, all for no more money than Norton AV (note that I purchased it used from here (Amazon) at below £30).

After a few weeks I can say that it has performed very well. Performance hasnt visibly suffered and it seems to do the job pretty well running invisibly in the background. I had no installation problems either and it has all been, thankfully, painless.

I would say that the user interface is not the best - there are too many methods to do the same thing, but then many windows programs exhibit this problem in my opinion. I do like the continuous updates and it doesnt seem to slow down my dial up browsing either which is surprising. The AV found a macro virus that NAV never found, the firewall has been flawless and invisible and the anti spam etc. I assume do their thing as I dont get prompted by them. Which is the way I like it. Apart from the not so intuitive interface the only other negative is a bug which causes a small Panda message ocassionally telling me that I need to register to receive updates. Although I have done so and receive updates fine. So Im currently awaiting a reply from Panda on how to get rid of this.

Id recommend this product to anyone looking for an alternative to Norton or McAfee etc. and who wants a cost effective, integrated suite that both works and is discrete in doing so. Also, if like me, the thought of installing a package like this fills you with fear of causing a system crash or the like (after reading too many reviews) take heart from my example. Good luck.
